Johanna Faust, a mixed race Jew, prefers to publish pseudonymously. She is committed: first, to preventing war, ecological disaster, and nuclear apocalypse; last to not only fighting for personal privacy & the freedom of information, but, by representing herself as a soldier in that fight, to exhorting others to do the same. She is a poet, always. All these efforts find representation here: "ah, Mephistophelis" is so named after the last line of Christopher Marlowe's Dr. Faustus, whose heretical success flouted the censor for a time.

Gentle Readers:  You may ask where I have gone. I have been spending most of my authorial time: when offline, writing poetry, & attempting to better my quality of life & the quality of the lives of those around me; when online, self-publishing my poetry, & attempting to save the world, as always -- but both of these on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.  Find me there; I will attempt to mirror posts here; on my to do list is enabling a conversation across media platforms.  (Suggestions?  The comment section wants to hear from you).

Be seeing you.
