Man, Waterboarded A Record of 183 Times, Confesses Guilt For 9/11; Sentenced To Death

NOTE: I realized after I posted this that there are things which I assumed went without saying, and that these things needed to be said.  Clearly.


TORTURE IS NOT A FORM OF INTERROGATION.


TORTURE DOES NOT PRODUCE RELIABLE INTELLIGENCE.


TORTURE DOES NOT PRODUCE VALID INTELIGENCE.


TORTURE INVALIDATES WHATEVER INTELLIGENCE WAS TO BE HAD FROM AN INDIVIDUAL.


THE PRACTICE OF TORTURE THEREFORE DECREASES NATIONAL SECURITY.


TORTURE REINFORCES THE POWER HELD BY THE SOCIOPATHIC  WITH ARBITRARY ACTIONS THAT PRODUCE (JUSTIFIABLE) FEAR OF PROTEST IN THE CITIZEN POPULATION, MAKING RESISTANCE TO EVIL RULE UNLIKELY


TORTURE, BY PLACING ANY VALUE IN CONFESSIONS WHICH ARE INVALIDATED BY VIRTUE OF ITS USE, BY IMPLICATION REVEALS THAT THE POWER BY WHICH IT IS USED SEEKS NOT TRUTH FOR ITS AUTHORITY, BUT, IN BEING SO SATISFIED  WITH SUCH A  BLATANT AND OBSCENE FICTION, SEEKS ONLY EXPEDIENCE, WITH NO CONNECTION TO THE TRUTH REQUIRED AT ALL.


TORTURE THEREFORE CASTS INTO DOUBT THE MOST SACRED PHILOSOPHIES AND PRINCIPLES OF THE POWERS BY WHICH IT IS USED.

It is a very sad day.  There are many reasons to be sad, or frightened, or worried, lately.  Most of the ones of which I can think off hand are oriented around a future moment, some event or serious of events by which, we think to ourselves from the present vantage point, we will be able to mark the various stages in the decline, devolution and subsequent disintegration and End of The World As We Knew It.  And I do not mean the good ones, the signs of hope, the celebratory new beginnings (see the end of Mars Attacks for an example).  I do not mean the ones about which I feel fine.  Were I talking about these, I would feel fine because I have a conscience.  

I am speaking of the forebodings, the malaise, the bad dreams broken up by bootstomps.  1984.  When The Machine Stops.  Brazil. 

One does not want to find that life imitates so closely that which is immoral, unethical, politically stupid. and which makes no rational sense.

Man Who Was Waterboarded 183 Times,  Confesses Complete Responsibility for 9/11  and Will Be Executed Kevin Boyle The Truth Seeker April 5, 2012 It was reported on BBC News tonight that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others will be charged with orchestrating the September 11 attacks. What the report omitted to say was that many sources, including the New York Times (could any institution be less anti-establishment?), reported in April 2009 that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had been waterboarded 183 times in Guantanano Bay. The BBC report went on to say, rather comically in the circumstances, was that “Khalid Sheikh Mohammed admits everything relating to the 9/11 attacks from A to Z.” [snip] Full confessions. No jury. We can expect one or perhaps two of the defendants to be given light sentences to project (laughably) an impression of fairness……that this is something other than a completely pre-arranged propaganda exercise that will also shut up for ever one or two people who might, in the long term, provide information that damages the real criminals responsible for 9/11.
